During the 14th and 15th of April 2018 we’re opening the gates to Sweden’s largest meetup within the field of 3D-printing. Registrations are now open with great Early Bird offers just in time for Christmas, so claim your ticket today!
3D Meetup is a unique yearly concept which aims to connect companies and consumers within the 3D-field, primarily 3D-printing. The event was founded at the end of 2016 and shortly thereafter grew into a big event which was first held during the 25th and 26th of March 2017. The idea is that during the course of a weekend bring together the industry as well as individuals from all over the world over their shared interest. It’s an event filled with creativity, community, knowledge and networking.
Ticket types and prices
This year we are offering a few different tickets, please see below. All tickets can be purchased in advance which is the recommended way, but we will also offer on-site sales for those who prefer this. Your ticket will be exchanged for a wristband that you can then use to get in and out without having to show us the ticket all the time.
Access both days
Access both days
One day access
We really hope that you want to bring your printer(s) to the event and due to that reason we have decided to make table reservations free this year. This means that during booking you can select one free table for each day. If you need more room we’ll charge you an additional 49 SEK per extra table. We think that one table should suffice for most attendees though, depending on the amount of printers that you bring. As the tables are limited we ask that you only reserve them if you truly need them. You will of course be able to add extra tables once you arrive, should you need it.
Also, children between the ages of 0-12 enter the event at no charge and you can pick up their free tickets in the registration form. These tickets are valid through both days of the event.
What’s included in my ticket?
Your tickets gets you access to everything the event has to offer. That includes access to the venue, all of our lectures and workshops, contests, our guests and much more. Get your tickets today and don’t miss out on the full weekend Early Bird special!
Why come to 3D Meetup?
If you’re looking for a platform to get in touch with the community and meet up up with your peers then this event is for you. Aside from this, we also offer you the chance to bring your machines for two days of tinkering with the support of all the visitors and our guests. Perhaps you just want to learn more about 3D-printing, attend some lectures or perhaps some interesting workshop. Anyhow, this event is for you!
- A great networking opportunity
- Access to workshops and lectures
- Good prices on products from attending companies
- Get scanned in 3D and print a mini-replica of yourself
- Hang out with like-minded people and have a good time
- Access to technical support kindly provided by our partners
- An opportunity to be part of fun contests and other mini-events
- A chance to meet and greet with Thomas Sanladerer and our other guests
What to bring with you
We’ll be providing internet access through Ethernet and Wi-Fi during all hours of the event, we’ll also provide one electrical outlet per table. As we don’t have the option to provide tools and hardware for all attendees, please bring the following with you:
- Tools required to tinker with your printer(s)
- One or more power sockets to expand the single outlet
- If possible, bring prints with you to showcase your work
- Network cables, power cables or any other cables you might require
Also, if you want to, bring your failed prints. We’ll be collecting that throughout the event to see how just much we can accumulate during the many hours we’re open.
What about the venue?
The 2018 event will take place at a venue called Sundspärlan, which is located at Fältarpsvägen 60 in Helsingborg, Sweden. It’s a great and big venue where we’ll have tons of space for creativity and the possibility to continue expanding our event for the years to come. It’s not quite as accessible as our previous venue, but easy to reach by car, bus or cab. Thanks to a partnership with Cabonline they’ll be offering a slight discount to anyone who want’s to go. Unlike last year, you now have the possibility to drive up close to the venue entrance in order to unload your equipment. The venue also has tons of parking which is freely available during the entire weekend, so if you arrive by car, don’t worry.
Also, night printing is a none-issue, feel free to leave your printers on 24/7 so you can finish those long prints.
The event hours are the following:
Saturday April 14th, 09:00 to 24:00
Sunday April 15th, 09:00 to 20:00
These are the official event hours, but we’ll lock the main entrance a few hours earlier than midnight, and food sales will stop a few hours before as well. Don’t worry though, you’ll have plenty of time and we’ll give you a heads up beforehand. You can also read more about the venue on this page.
Hotels & Accommodation
No matter if you wish to stay just one of the days or the full duration of the event you might need somewhere to crash. For this year we’ve come to an agreement with a few hotels to get you reduced pricing for your hotel bookings. So for you can book hotels from the following two, but more options will surely come as we go. Please visit our sponsors & partners page for up to date offers.
Food and drinks
The venue has restaurant and bar which also comes with a full serving permit. This means that we’ll be offering both light refreshments and rich meals as well as beer, cider and wine. We’re still deciding on the exact food that will be served, but if you have any suggestions, please enter them while booking your tickets. We will also offer some vegetarian/vegan alternatives in order to make sure there is something for everyone. Should our food options not be enough, there is always the possibility of going into town for something to eat.
Safety and security
The safety of you and your belongings are our number one priority. During the event hours the venue will be staffed by their own personnel as well as the 3D Meetup crew and we’ll be on the lookup for any trouble. During the time which the event venue is closed, the outside will be patrolled regularly and we’ll have a guard posted indoors during all hours we’re not there so that everything is safe and sound. We hope that this will make you feel confident that you can leave your equipment on site. Despite all these security measures, we cannot be held accountable for possible burglary or thefts. Participation is at your own risk. As always, it’s never a wise idea to leave loose items as the opportunity itself creates the thief. Make sure to keep track on your equipment so that nothing goes missing.
